Outfit #38 : Sophisticated Leather

Wearing leather other than a jacket takes some bravery. It all depends on what you pair it with. I took edgy faux leather leggings and paired it with a conservative draped neck tunic. I also made the look a little more conservative by adding a boyfriend blazer. I rolled the cuffs up to show the pin striped lining. I added a chunky black necklace to add some texture. I also added a silver ball ring and heels with stud detailing around the toe to keep the edginess.

Outfit #37: Color Blocking!

Color blocking is something that I don't see very often. I think it takes a lot of confidence to pull it off and I encourage some bravery!
This look is known as color blocking; which means taking different solid colors stacking them on top of each other. I took a bright turquoise sweater over a white button down and put it on top of some bright blue jeans. I added a spec of  contrast pink with the skinny belt and a pink watch to break up the color family of blues. I kept the earrings and shoes simple. I rolled the jeans, the sleeves of the sweater and cuffed over the white button up all to give the look some different styling then just letting them be as is. This makes the look more interesting.

Outfit #36: Simple Simple Simple and Chic

Here is a simple button down white shirt; which every woman should own. and tucked it in to a pair of wide legged trouser jeans. If you are going to wear trouser jeans on bottom you want to have a more fitted top. If you go wide on top and bottom it will look frumpy. This is a key thing to remember when playing with proportions. Since my jeans are just long enough to hit the floor, I decided to wear a kitten heel because if I chose a big heel, they would be high waters and that is just silly looking.  The accessories give the look pops of color. I chose a magenta belt and added a blue and magenta bracelet to tie in with the belt and a necklace with a blue pendent which you can barely see (sorry.) My earrings which you also can't see are diamond studs and I added a silver ball ring to add some dimension

These slingbacks look very pointy but when pants hang over them they look super cute! The kitten heel is cute and makes the shoe comfy.

Outfit #35: Button Down Casual Fun

I took a tan pin striped button down shirt and paired them with some jeggings.  One of the other big colors this fall is camel. Therefore, I kept my accessories gold and tans. I took a tan wrap belt to cinch my waist and knotted it for more of an interesting aesthetic. Gold earrings and a gold watch keep the look fun and youthful. I added nude shades and tan sweater boots to keep the look simple and effortless. Sweater boots are not only cozy and warm, but they give an  interesting look with the different texture.

Outfit# 34: Intro to Sequins

It's time for holiday parties and that means sequins right!?! Wrong! It doesn't matter when you wear sequins anymore. In fact sequins is being seen all over with just a sweat shirt on top and sequins on the bottom or vice versa. I took a sequin tank top and paired it with a white blazer for contrast and sharpness. I didn't wear a necklace because that would be way to much shiny on top and with sequins, less is more. I kept my accessories to a minimum because I wanted the focus to be the top half. I chose silver earrings and a ring and added my black watch with faux diamonds to keep the top half dressy. I toned down the look with jeans for a relaxed factor and played up my bottom half with my ruffle shoes.

Outfit # 33: Simple Yet Fun

Since red is one of the fall's "it" colors, I wanted to put something together that was fun and simple. This look was actually inspired by a look I saw in one of my fashion magazines. One of the things I wanted this fall was red cigarette pants but skinny red jeans are just as good. I can roll them up or roll them down because they hit me right at the ankle. Black and red look really sharp together and therefore, I took a simple black crew neck t-shirt and put a simple white long sleeved shirt underneath. I added my black wide cuffed watch and black ballet flats to make this look very simple. The red pants make a bold fun statement. If you're scared to wear such a bright color on the bottom, don't worry I was at that point once. However if you start wearing them a lot, you're confidence will soar!

Outfit # 32: Snowboarding bunny

Happy Thanksgiving to my American readers! Many people go up to the mountains here in Colorado for the Thanksgiving holiday because the snow is really starting to get good and today's outfit is aimed for the snow towns! I wanted to bring out my inner snowboarder. I paired a long sleeved waffle shirt under a Roxy t-shirt. The waffle shirt makes the look a little more interesting and it adds texture. I added my Roxy beanie for a fun cool vibe. Skinny jeans are the best to wear with boots. They are the easiest to tuck in. I added my leather wide cuffed black watch to give the look some more edge. The watch is placed over the sleeve for a more functional purpose but still gives the look an interesting detail.

The DC boots are very comfortable and warm and because they look like snowboarding boots, they are perfect for walking around Keystone or Vail. The faux fur gives it that snow bunny feel. The cool embellished "DC" detailing gives it that cool snowboarder chick look.

Outfit # 31 : Stripes on Stripes

Playing with stripes is fun and I wanted to play with two different kinds. When pairing stripes, make sure you have at least one color in both that are matching. For example, there is a navy blue stripe in the dress and the cardigan is navy. It doesn't matter the thickness of the stripes. It's still going to look awesome! I put my gold hoops and gold watch on. I took a double wrapped belt and instead of putting the end through the buckle, I knotted it instead to give a different aesthetic. I finished the look off with adding a masculine style over- the-knee riding boot to counteract with the femininity of the dress.

Outfit # 30: Jumpers

Jumpers are fun to style and depending on the
one you get, retro ones are definately classic and
cool! I took my black jumper and paired it with a
white long sleeved turtle neck. This look deffinately
has a 1960's feel. I paired my look with my pantent
t-strap heels which gives it a girly touch. I added a
skinny pink belt to add some color. I have recently
been playing with belt lengths and placement. Like
yesterday's look, I placed the belt higher around the
rib area. I added a black watch to complete the look.

Outfit # 29: Broken Up Black and Grey

I took a cowl neck sweater tunic and paired them with leggings. Then added a studded belt to give the look texture and to break the tunic up. I decided to raise the belt a little higher then my waist to give it a different interesting aesthetic. The entire look is broken up by black accents. I added black hooped earrings and grey calf boots to give some more breaks in the look. To keep up with the broken up look I included my black faux diamond stud watch to give it a little bling.

OUTFIT #27 & #28

For Saturday's outfit, I decided to put something together that I would go dancing in. So I took a short sleeved tunic and paired it with some leggings. Leggings are a great alternative to tights.  I gave the tunic some shape by adding a studded belt which gave the look some texture. I gave it some structure by adding the leather jacket. I added my faux diamond studded watch to play up the night time factor. I conclude the look with some grey calf height boots.

For Sunday's look, I was thinking morning tea/ church if ya go or maybe just a brunch. I chose a girly dress in a two toned neutral shade with a punch of contrast with the black stripe at the bottom. For a easy styling tip; I took a long black ribbon and wrapped it around my waist twice and just added a flower pin where I tied the knot to create a belt. The black homemade belt breaks up the dress with more contrast. I finished the look with adding black t-strap shoes which gives the look a vintage feel and a black headband. I added a bit of polish with a silver flower ring.

Outfit # 26 : Everything Girly

This outfit is totally girly. The headband looks a bit over powering but I would put my hair up. The cardigan is totally cute but I should have been turned the other way so you could see the cute detailing. If you have a cardigan without anything on it, you could always add a pin. I added long pearls and pearl bracelets to keep the look soft and feminine. I added silver ballet flats that compliments the grey cardigan.

Outfit #25: Color Everywhere!!!

Today's outfit is just fun and effortless. The bright pink ruffled shirt looks extra bold next to the olive green jacket which has feminine and masculine features. I wanted to give the look something a bit extra so I added the cheetah print scarf. The scarf works with the outfit because it has some neutral colors and plays off of the olive. I added gold earrings and a bracelet due to the gold hardware on the jacket and the neutral tones in the scarf. I paired the brown wedges to also tie in with the scarf. I chose cuffed boyfriend jeans for a relaxed look.

Outfit #24: Maxiness

Who wants to put their summer maxi dresses away? Well some might just because they feel it's strictly for summer uses. Well it's not. Hemlines have continued to get longer over the past couple of years and now we are seeing ankle length skirts everywhere. Take your maxi dress out of storage and simply put a sweater over it to make it look like a skirt. I cinched my waist with a belt to make the outfit not look so straight up and down. I added gold accessories to refine the look. Some of you might be wondering why I am wearing wedges in the fall. Well you can keep your sandles out still while the weather stays on the warmer side. For days that are in the 60's; why the heck not! For the colder days, just pair your maxi dress that you converted to a skirt with boots.

Outfit # 23: Bohemian Fall

With today's outfit, I took my bohemian / 70's inspired dress and added a knit infinity scarf to bundle it up a bit for fall. I chose my neutral suede knee boots to go with the neutral knit scarf. In the dress is the similar neutral color and I felt like the scarf and the boots brought that out in the dress. I added gold accessories and my light pink string and bead bracelet. There was a similar pale pink in the dress that I thought that went well with the pale pink bracelet. This look is pretty easy with any type of bohemian styled dress.
One of the things that is on my wish list for the fall, is a felt floppy fedora in either tan or brown. I would have removed the infinity scarf and added the hat.

Outfit # 22: Casual Plaid

Today's look is simple and fun and perfect for a fall day. I started with a white tank and put a flannel plaid shirt over it. It's cozy and comfy and perfect for horse back riding on a fall day. I paired it with my white cuffed watch and a light pink string and bead bracelet.

Looks can change instantly if you just add, subtract, or switch out accessories. So I went to a more chill look to a more western country type outfit to go line dancing, hang out at a dive bar or go to karaoke.

Outfit # 21: Adidas Fun!

Sunday fun day once again brings a casual look. I wanted to keep this outfit fun and simple. I just took a white tank top and put it under an Adidas track jacket. To keep the look girly, I used a distressed mini skirt. What makes this outfit fun is that I added my Adidas sneakers and added some color with my Adidas wrist band. I am a bit obsessed with Adidas so pretty much all my sports wear is Adidas!

Outfit # 20: Vintage Glamour

One old rule in fashion was that you shouldn't wear white after Labor Day. Well that rule really doesn't apply anymore so feel free to wear white to your hearts content. I chose these shorts for a night out because of the satin material. This outfit can be worn for a night out, holiday party, or switch out a cocktail dress for cute shorts. These shorts are high-waisted and have sailor detailing and remind me of 1940 pin ups. I added the black color shirt to keep the look modernized. I added two necklaces and would have added more if I had more but I am working with what I have so I doubled up the pearls to make them look like I had more. I added pearl bracelets and a silver balled ring along with diamond studs and a cute little headband. I kept the vintage feel going with the t-strap patent heels. Sorry about my shin guard tan from playing soccer. I would have added black tights possibly with a pattern but tights aren't fun to put on so I was a bit lazy on that aspect. So if you have an even skin tone on your legs more power to you to just wear this outfit with bare legs.

Outfit # 19: Sweater Sass

Sweater dresses are so fun for the fall and winter and the colder it gets, the more creative you can get with short sleeved ones by adding layers underneath. I have opted out from using a layering piece because it isn't that cold yet; as today is suppose to be 64 degrees in lovely Colorado. I chose a winter white one and added brown accents with the belt and boots to break up the white. I also added gold touches through the gold earrings and a watch. The boots also have gold buckles. The gold touches enhances the look and makes it look put together. This look can also be worn from day to night. I would just add some colored tights for the day look.

Outfit # 18 : Effortlessly Fun

Once again you will notice another striped shirt. Stripe shirts are so fun and can be styled many different ways and paired with many different things. I paired the magenta striped shirt with some dark wash skinny jeans to make the stripe pop out and be more noticeable. I feel that if I would have paired them with a not as dark of a jean, that the stripes wouldn't have popped out as much. I added a neutral colored infinity knit scarf for a fun touch and it is also very warm and comfortable. The suede riding boots add texture and the darker neutral color ties the whole ensemble together.

Outfit # 17: Classic Chic

I wanted to create a look that is classic and sexy and that can be worn in the office and out for happy hour. One item that every woman should own is a classic pencil skirt. Pencil skirts usually look  best on curvy figures but I was lucky enough to find one that was cut for my body type. I typically wear a belt with a pencil skirt but this particular one had a corset styled waist that I wanted to show off. The black button up is a three quarter sleeve length so I decided to roll the sleeves up and fold the cuffs down to add an extra styled detail. I chose a chunky shiny black necklace to tie in with my patent t-strap heels. I also added a silver ring to give the look some polish.

Shirt: New York & Co

Shoes: Kohl's

Every woman should also own a classic style pump and I love my t-strap shoes because they remind me of the 1940's and I can pretty much pair them with anything.

Outfit # 16: Laid Back Color

This outfit screams comfortable! I paired a bright blue v-neck sweater with some distressed boyfriend jeans. Boyfriend jeans aren't the sexiest type of jeans (sorry guys) but they are really comfortable and are made to fit a bit baggy. Boyfriend jeans give a laid back vibe to any outfit. The scarf that I used has a bit of the same blue color as my sweater. The scarf also has many other colors in it and can be worn with pretty much anything. I paired silver ballet shoes to compliment the greys in the scarf and wore a white wide cuffed watch to also tie in with the scarfs white detailing.

Outfit # 15: Brights and Stripes

Stripes and bright colors are huge this fall! Many colors are being seen on the runways; especially reds, pinks, blues, greens, plums and oranges. Black, white and red always look really sharp together. I decided to pair my black and cream striped shirt with my bright red jeans. I tied the whole look together with my black ballet flats, the stone and feather necklace, aviators, and a black wide cuffed watch. The look is a bit of rock n' roll and it has a touch of a California cool and a laid back vibe.

Outfit # 14 : Girly With A Hint Of Masculine

Today I wanted to go for a casual laid back look because Sunday fun day has arrived once again! Football games galore will be on all day and we all want to be lazy and sit on the couch all day and watch them right?!?! Well maybe some of us but why not look good doing it even if it's only you and your dog sitting next to you. Or maybe you're the girlfriend or wife who wants to go shopping while your husband sits on the couch and watches the game well this outfit is perfect for you to stay comfortable and stylish all at the same time on this fine fall day.
Layering is essential in the fall and winter and why not have fun with it. I paired just a simple black tank top under this  motorcycle cropped sweater. Cropped sweaters and high wasted or long and lean pants are in right now to play with body proportions. The cropped sweater on top will make your legs look long and lean. However, if you are short waisted like me, the cropped look emphasizes that fact and therefore, I make sure to have a longer under shirt as to make my torso look longer. I paired the tops with a dark wash flare jean and ballet flats to soften the toughness of the motorcycle sweater jacket; making it a mix of masculine and feminine qualities. I kept my accessories to a minimum with just a necklace so the focus could be kept on the sweater.

Outfit #13: Rocker Chic

This is a perfect outfit to go out for Saturday night. It's comfortable and stylish. I wanted to go for a rocker look for a night of dancing. I paired my leather cropped jacket with my "city" tank top that has intentional cut ups and holes in it to give it that stressed look. I added the bright purple skirt to break up the monochromatic black on top. I added the belt with silver notches to cinch in my waist and give the outfit some texture. I added caged heels to tie in with the "city" shirt with the holes and rips. I added a waterfall chained necklace and graphite earrings. I also gave myself a smokey eye because I thought it was appropriate for night time.

Outfit # 12: Simply Sophisticated

I wanted to keep today's outfit simple and effortless. I picked a long sleeved turtleneck with a pair of bootcut jeans. The length of the jeans are perfect for heeled boots. I wanted to add some color, so I added a magenta skinny belt and put it around my waist. The belt is extra long to add some styling. I made a little swoop knot to give it an interesting touch. I also wanted to keep my accessories simple and wore diamond studs and a silver flower ring (that you really can't see haha) I wanted to give the outfit a bit more of a modern feel and added a wool hat. I paired the outfit with square toed black leather boots.

Outfit # 11: Silver, Fur and Refinement

This look is inspired by Rachel Zoe, who loves to wear faux fur and I am digging the trend this season because I feel like it's an instant update to any wardrobe. I wanted to pair the vest with skinny jeans to give it a cool vibe. I chose to pair the vest with a black short sleeved turtle neck to keep the
look more casual.I chose a silver ring to tie in with the grey tones in the vest. The shoes I picked also have silver accents that tie the look together from
head to toe. I chose to wear dimond stud earrings to add some softness to the edgy infused look. Lastly, I chose to wear my Dolce & Gabana watch because of the silver edged face to tie all the silver accents together which in turn makes the outfit look refined and fun.

Outfit # 10: California Chill/ Website Wednesday

For today's outfit, I was going for a casual cozy chill look. I took my waffled Roxy shirt and paired it with a Sherpa lining hooded vest, skinny bleached wash jeans and my Emu Australia boots. I wanted to feel comfortable but give the look a bit of a Cali surfer feel while still maintaining a Colorado boarding touch. I wanted to add the Sherpa vest for layering purposes. I think it added to the cozy cool factor. I also wanted to add a pop of color to pick up the blues in the Roxy shirt with my light turquoise watch. The wide cuff leather watch gives the outfit a cool and collected pop.

For today's website, I chose www.Delias.com . Delia's is very similar and I believe ran by the same people as Alloy.com Delia's is also a great place to buy jeans and pants because of the multiple choices of inseams. Delia's also has a great shoe selection.

Outfit # 9 : Dash Of Color

Faux fur is huge right now whether it's on shoes, a jacket, a sweater or even gloves you will be seeing it around often.  I decided to pair this black cropped bomber jacket with faux fur trim with a plum colored satin type top to give it more than just a casual look and to give the outfit some color instead of it being just a monochromatic look. I then decided to wear grey jeans and finished it up with black suede boots to tie the whole outfit together. I also wanted to try and play with different textures and the satin blouse and fur give the outfit a bit of a sophisticated look.

I added a silver ring and a silver bracelet to add more texture and to keep the look refined. The boots can be worn as over-the-knee or folded down. I wanted the focus to go to the jacket and not the boots so I folded them down.
